About Housing and Assistive Technology (HAT)

Housing and Assistive Technology, Inc. (HAT) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that was established in October 2003. We have over 20 years of experience in the areas of environmental accessibility assessment consultation, physical medicine, rehabilitation, assistive technology products and services for the disabled, regardless of age or disability, and for seniors. HAT partners with allied health professionals, assistive technology providers, architects, engineers, and licensed general contractors.

Beth Kofsky

HAT's Executive Director, Beth Kofsky, is the driving force behind HAT. She is a Certified Environmental Accessibility Consultant (CEAC), a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and has a Masters in Health Services Administration (MHSA). She has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare, housing, and assistive technology industry.

Our Board of Directors consists of six members, who have diverse backgrounds and professional careers that ensure the continuing success of HAT.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life and maximize independence for seniors and persons with disabilities, regardless of age or disability. We achieve this by removing architectural barriers, completing housing rehabilitation repairs and implementing design adaptations and assistive technology solutions. HAT provides safer and healthier living environments through accessible design solutions and resident home rehabilitation. Our staff is dedicated to serving everyone's design and construction needs.
